Why is the Foam Mat surface a little slippery at first?
When new tatami mats leave the factory, we apply a thin layer of protective coating to the surface , designed to make the product last longer. This thin layer may feel a little more slippery at first, but this sensation usually disappears after a few days of use. We generally recommend that customers avoid vigorously rubbing the surface to remove this protective layer, as this could damage the piece.
What is the difference between the “T” surface and the “5-line” surface on a Jigsaw Foam Mat?
Both the “T” and “5-line” surfaces are non-slip surfaces designed to provide optimal grip and prevent slipping during sports. The choice between one surface or another really depends on each client’s tastes and preferences , so it’s a very individual choice.
Why do some Interlocking Foam pieces not fit together properly after a few months?
The very use of jigsaw mats and the changes in humidity that can occur in the environment are factors that affect the pieces, causing them to expand and contract. These movements are normal in tatami mats due to the type of material they are made of, EVA foam . Therefore, after a few months, some pieces may not fit perfectly. To minimize this effect, we recommend that customers avoid spilling liquids on the foam mats and that when cleaning them, they let them dry completely before reassembling them. We also recommend that if you plan to expand the space with new pieces, do so within 5-6 months, to ensure that the new pieces fit perfectly.
Can Tatami Puzzle pieces be cut to fit?
Our tatami pieces are very easy to cut with a utility knife, so you can adapt them to the specific dimensions of your space. To do this correctly, measure carefully before cutting and use a sharp utility knife to achieve a perfect cut.
Why is there some dust on the surface of the Foam Mat?
When our interlocking foam mats leave the factory, they may have a fine layer of dust on the surface. This is normal due to the manufacturing process , but it’s a fine dust that can be easily removed by simply wiping it with a dry cloth.
What should I do if my order arrives in poor condition?
If you receive your order and notice that the box is damaged or dented , it’s important to note this on the delivery note so we can process your claim . We always recommend that customers visually inspect all the boxes before signing the delivery note. Once the delivery note is signed, the order is accepted, making it more difficult to process a claim.
